Requirements/Restrictions:

  • Minimum group size is two.*
  • Minimum age is 8 years old.
  • Maximum weight to ride is 230 lbs. If your weight is in question, we do reserve the right to weigh you on a scale and cancel your trail ride without a refund if your weight exceeds the 230 lbs limit.

  • Please don’t bring any backpacks or purses, we have saddlebags for small, personal items such as cell phones and cameras!
  • Helmets are a requirement for the ride, and are provided!
  • You must be physically able to ride and stay on a horse safely (in extreme cases it is staff decision).
  • Safety is our top priority for both our guests and horses, so we do not permit trotting or cantering. Our trail is a guided walking trail along the beach. The sand in Hawaii is too deep for the horses to go faster than a walk.
  • Guests must listen to and abide by staff instructions at all times. Guests who don’t follow instructions will have to dismount and be picked up in a vehicle, brought back to the stable, and not eligible for a refund.
  • Rainouts/cancellations due to weather are at company’s discretion.
  • Hawaii Polo Trail Rides issues no refunds due to traffic and 100% of the booking total will be kept.
  • All participants must complete waivers prior to participation.

*Please Note: Due to high demand during peak travel season, the minimum number of participants allowed for a private ride increases from 2 to 4 seats.
