Lanikuhonua, “Where Heaven Meets Earth,” was known as a retreat for Hawaii’s chiefs, where Queen Ka’ahumanu – wife of Kamehameha I – bathed in the sacred pools. Today this tranquil estate is yours for an afternoon and evening of culture, culinary experiences & entertainment.

 Friendly guides welcome you with a refreshing drink as the group gathers for a guided cultural orientation and experiential learning and games. An orientation covers the history of Lanikuhonua and an outline of the options to experience, including:
• Makahiki lawn games
• Lauhala or kukui-nut keepsake bracelet-making
• Stroll along the tranquil gardens or wade in the lagoon tidepools, ocean conditions-permitting
• Star-gazing after sunset, and a guide of Hawaiian astronomy and navigation
   A catered dinner is served after sunset, enjoyed together on the spacious lawn atop lauhala mats. Live acoustic entertainment begins as dessert and drinks continue.
