This Kauai downhill bike tour is an exhilarating half-day activity in the stunning Waimea Canyon, dubbed by Mark Twain, "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific". It’s all downhill and 100% uplifting. Saddle up, give your pedals a few cranks, and then the Kauai adventure begins!

We’ll start at 3,600 feet elevation and take an easy cruise down to sea level. We take frequent stops to marvel at dramatic canyon cliffs, enjoy deep forest scenery, and look out over the majestic Pacific Ocean. Definitely the best scenic views of Kauai you can get without even breaking a sweat.

The early bird bike tour includes fresh-brewed Kauai Coffee and blueberry muffins hot out of the oven as we ride up in our van.

On the afternoon tour, we serve cold soft drinks, spring water and Hanalima Bakery Cookies.

Schedule:

• Availability: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

• Tour Time: 6:00 AM, 2:30 PM

• Duration: 4 Hours 30 minutes

Recommendations:

• We recommend you dress in layers. You can peel off layers at the rest stops as it warms up on the way down. 

• Bring a windbreaker or light raincoat, and eyeglasses or sunglasses.

Restrictions/Requirements:

• All participants must read and sign a voluntary release and waiver of liability prior to taking the tour.

• Passengers must weigh less than 260lbs.

• The minimum age requirement to participate is 12 years of age.

• Bring closed-toes shoes, not sandals. (mandatory)

• The tour includes a 13-mile bike ride on paved roads. All participants must possess basic bicycle riding skills.

• Riders must be tall enough to safely ride a standard cruiser bike with 26-inch wheels. Step-through style frames with a standover height of 23.5 inches are available. (The bikes are at our shop so stop on by if you would like to have a look)

• All participants are in suitable physical condition for this activity. If there are any questions, I (we) will consult a physician.
