Start with a fully narrated ride from your Kona hotel to Hilo along Saddle Road that traverses between the 2 massive volcanoes of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. Ascending from sea level to 6,632 feet (2,021 meters) you will experience the various ecosystems that make up the Big Island while learning about the historic volcanic activity that continues to change the face of Hawai‘i. A short stop to check in for your remarkable Polaris RZR experience and then we are off. A short drive up the beautiful Hamakua coast will take you past an expansive lush coastal rainforest with vistas of local surf spots and stunning forested river valleys. Once you arrive at Maunakea Trails ATV you will meet your professionally trained ATV guides who will assign helmets, vehicles and run through a safety orientation. Depart following your guides as you experience the true high-performance nature of the Polaris RZR vehicles. Climb mountain trails, drive through verdant pastures, and mudbogs. Prepare to get muddy, wet, and sunburned all at the same time while having the time of your life. Enjoy a few stops along the way to allow your guides to offer Hawaiian history and answer questions before continuing along the trails. Enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and several waterfalls before heading over to the private waterfall. Take a refreshing plunge and enjoy a Hawaiian-style BBQ lunch before returning to your hotel.
