Ko'olau's natural setting provided master golf course architect Dick Nugent the opportunity to create a gem of a golf course that encompasses over 280 acres of spectacular terrain with a scenic 7310 yard, par-72 layout unlike any other in the world.

Considered by many the toughest golf course on the planet, Ko'olau was originally pegged with a slope of 162 from the back tees but later dropped to 152, just three points shy of the maximum value acknowledged in the slope rating system. Due to Ko'olau's alluring scenery and uniqueness it comes as no surprise that it is commonly found at the top of golf course lists created by trusted names in golf such as Golf Magazine and Golf Digest.

Recommendations & Requirements:

Golf Attire

In general, resort wear is expected. Spike-less golf shoes are strongly recommended and collared shirts are required at all times for men. Shorts are acceptable; however, courses with strict dress codes expect shorts to be at least 16" in length. Please do not wear jeans, cut-offs, tank tops, or sneakers. For women, we recommend golf shoes with socks, collared shirts, and slacks, shorts, or golf skirts.

Single Players

Most golf courses will not allow single players.  In general all single players will be paired up with other to make a 3 or 4 some.
