Our partnership with Botanical World Adventures gives you the chance to combine a world-class helicopter tour with another incredible adventure: zip lining!

You’ll depart from the Kona Airport in a Bell 407, Hawai‘i’s premier touring helicopter, on the same route as the Hawai‘i Experience. You will fly over the Kona coffee district and the slopes of Hualālai and Mauna Loa on your way to Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park to hunt for red, hot lava at Kīlauea, the world’s most active volcano, and Pu‘u ‘Ō‘ō Vent. Then, you’ll head north along the island’s rugged coastline, seeing jagged cliffs and lava fields give way to hundreds of waterfalls and rich vegetation.

After soaring to Hilo in the helicopter, it’s time to get a little closer to the trees. Botanical World Adventures offers seven different zip lines, taking you over streams and their beautiful gardens, where they maintain more than 5,000 plant species. Enjoy the colors of the flowers beneath you as you feel the wind in your face. This thrilling ride includes views of spectacular waterfalls, two of which were inaccessible until the gardens opened them to the public a few years ago. You’ll catch great views of Mauna Kea, as well as the Hāmākua District’s pastoral fields and ranches.

At the end of your excursion, head back to the Hilo International Airport, where
your helicopter waits to take you on the second half of your air tour. You’ll visit lush rainforests and the incomparable Kohala valleys. The views here are spectacular and often the favorite hidden gem discovered by our guests. Rounding out your trip, you’ll get a birds-eye view of iconic beaches, including Hāpuna Beach and Kua Bay, that are consistently voted as the best in the world.

Restrictions/Requirements:

• For passengers above 265 lbs., fees are charged during check out or at check-in. The guest will be guaranteed a window seat. All guests between 265 lbs – 300 lbs (when weighed at check-in), will be assessed a Capacity Surcharge of $50 on our Hughes/MD 500 or $100 on our Bell 407. They will be guaranteed a window seat. All guests weighing over 300 lbs are required to purchase a second, cabin comfort & safety seat at a discounted price. They will be guaranteed a window seat. Accurate weights at the time of booking are essential to ensure comfort and safety of all guests. If a passenger is unable to fly due to an inaccurate weight provided at the time of booking, no refund will be made. By maintaining proper weight and balance in our aircraft we can provide guests with a safe, smooth and comfortable Experience on Paradise Helicopters.
• Children under the age of two (2) fly free when seated in the lap of a paying adult – proof of age required for lap children under two (2). Children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat.
